Mixing chambers are devices used to combine two or more substances, usually fluids, to achieve a desired mixture.

2022
Project brief
The objective of this experiment was to calculate the amount of heat lost, the speed at which disorder increased (entropy rate), and the wasted energy (exergy destruction) occurring within a mixing chamber.

RESULTS

Thermodynamic analysis

The minimal value for mass flow rate corresponds to the minimum rate of entropy and heat lost

Greater rates of hot water mass flow rate resulted in reduced heat loss

to conclude
A link was discovered between hot water mass flow rate and heat loss/rate of entropy, and further attempts illustrate a value-based function
