This experiment aim to determine the performance coefficient of a real heat pump cycle. To achieve this, we utilized a vapor compression heat pump in both cooling and heating modes.

The coefficient of performance for heat pumps can be altered due to many factors, such as the insulation of the heat pump, the temperature of the surrounding environment, and the pressure of the surrounding environment. Based on our results, the coefficient of performance is slightly higher for the heat pump in heating mode compared to the value for the coefficient of performance in cooling mode.
